Positioning Judo Bank as the go-to for Australian SMEs at a time when the big banks weren’t bold enough to back them.
Judo is Australia’s only bank purpose-built for SMEs. In the wake of the banking Royal Commission, with SMEs facing a $90b funding shortfall, we created Judo’s first broad-reaching awareness campaign.’Got Plans’ was a cheeky jab at the big four banks and their tendency to say no to Australian businesses. The multi-channel campaign successfully grew Judo’s customer base and garnered national media attention.

In preparation for Judo Bank’s 2021 ASX listing, we created a bold, insight driven brand positioning with the breadth and flex to underpin its challenger ambitions.
We have worked with Judo Bank – Australia’s only challenger SME business bank – since our very first day. With their 2021 ASX listing approaching, we worked side-by-side with their leadership team to evolve the brand into a modern and compelling reflection of Judo’s people, purpose and vision. We conducted a full brand audit and consolidation, developed a bold positioning and platform, and rallied a stakeholder group around the new direction.

Tucked away in Victoria’s High Country is Towong Shire, a largely unknown but abundantly attractive corner of the state. Our brief was to develop a flexible master-brand proposition that turned the region’s biggest challenge – being relatively unknown – into a compelling drawcard about discovery; translating this into distinct but complementary destination brands for the shire’s three regions.
